Tessellate House

The brief asked for privacy on a corner plot without the usual high-walled feel. We answered with a perforated brick screen that wraps the entire western edge, shading the interiors through the worst of the summer afternoons.

Inside, the plan is organised around four courtyards. One catches the morning light for breakfast. One is dense with planting for the children to play in. One is paved for cars in transit. One stays empty for the sky.

Material palette is short and disciplined: charred wood, kota stone, lime-finished walls, and a single warm brass for hardware.
